Colton House offers 79 large custom suites plus plenty of stunning spaces for couples, families, business travelers and solo explorers to call home. The hotel was very comfortable and beautifully decorated in boutique fashion with lots of individual rooms to sit and read or chat. The cafe and bar was great in the morning for a light breakfast and for drinks in the evening.The only slight downside was no restaurant. However there was a great restaurant within 5 mins walk and downtown Austin within a mile.The staff were welcoming and friendly and helpful. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Constant maintenance to ensure the hotel looks nice is in evidence. It is close to South Congress and a number of very good eateries. Hotel has a small coffee shop and library style seating area that are both lovely to spend time in. I have been researching where to stay in Austin for a weekend in early February with my husband. We will have a car and looking to be a little removed from the E 6th insanity but walking options to food and sites.

Colton House is absolutely beautiful and a lovely place to stay. I will agree with some of the reviews that the aircon is a bit average however Texas is hot so it is working hard. As far as location it's about a 10 minute Uber and an hour walk into the city to a lot of popular Austin spots so if you don't want to catch a lot of ubers or walk this may not be the spot for you.
Rooms come with a kitchenette, which makes staying convenient. The staff and cleaning crew were very friendly and did a great job. The facilities were surprisingly well accommodating providing spaces to work and to work-out.
